The performance of the extraordinary Austrian artist will inaugurate next year’s edition of the Katowice-based festival. On June 11, 2020, the modern NOSPR auditorium will be filled with great compositions combining classical traditions with electronic music, avant-garde and gothic. Today marks the beginning of the sales of 3-day tickets encompassing the opening concert. At the same time, all ticket prices for the 15thedition have been revealed. Just as last year, on Sunday June 14 the participants will be able to enjoy a free dance marathon at Sztauwajery – Fajrant.
Soap&Skin is the stage name of a singer, multi-instrumentalist, producer and composer, Anja Franziska Plaschig. The Austrian artist compares her own way of creating music to painting. The list of her greatest inspirations includes the works of artists such as Xiu Xiu, Cat Power, Björk, Nico, Aphex Twin, Siergiej Rachmaninow andArvo Pärt.

Anja Franziska Plaschig was growing up at a family farm in a small village in Styria, and from an early age showed signs of exceptional musical skills. She’s a classically trained and extremely talented pianist, producer, singer and composer. Even though she had started prestigious graphic design studies, she quickly decided to focus on her music career. Her debut album, “Lovetune for Vacuum”, was released in 2009 and brought her instant fameacross Austria and many other European countries. Soap&Skin’s records are sophisticated and serene compositions, combining classical traditions with electronic, gothic, avant-garde music and authorial songs.
Soap&Skin will present her sublime work in the cutting-edge auditorium of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra(NOSPR), designed by Japanese engineers, which provides some of the best acoustic conditions in Europe. Since its completion in autumn 2014, the grand concert hall has regularly hosted the opening and closing concerts ofTauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice. This year it won’t be any different. On June 11, 2020, Soap&Skin’s powerfull performance will kick off the 15th edition of the festival!
3-day ticketshave just gone on sale and they encompass the opening concert. Tickets at the promo price of PLN299will be available until all of them have been sold out. Moreover, all other ticket prices for the 15thedition of the festival have already been revealed. Just as in 2019, the festival Sunday will be free of charge. That’s when the participants will be able to enjoy another free dance marathon at Sztauwajery in Katowice – Fajrant!
