Next year’s 14th edition of the Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice festival will take place on 20-22.06.2019!
We have made the decision to modify the previous format and condense next year’s Festival into 3 days. Traditionally, we will begin with a unique opening concert scheduled for Thursday. Friday and Saturday – as before – will be fully-fledged Festival days featuring several dozen artists from across the world. The location remains the same, of course – we would like to invite everyone to the unique Culture Zone in the heart of Katowice. Nowa Muzyka keeps evolving, we are closely observing the interests of our festivalgoers and listening to their voices, and for that reason we have decided to give up the celebratory, ticketed closing concert on Sunday. Instead, we will prepare a new proposal for that day. We are convinced that it will be well-received by the fans of our Festival – Adam Godziek, organizer of Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice.
Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice is one of the most important music events in Poland, recognised and appreciated also abroad. The Festival has received three awards for the best small festival in Europe and so far its stages have hosted performances by Fever Ray, Mura Masa, Son Lux, Róisín Murphy, SOHN, The Cinematic Orchestra, Kamasi Washington, Jamie Woon, Kelis, Nils Frahm, Moderat, Hot Chip, Amon Tobin, Flying Lotus, Bonobo, Dj Krush and many others.
