An institution of culture which presents Polish folklore in a stage form, showing its multicolour and richness in music, songs and folk dances developed by the founders of the Ensemble – Stanisław Hadyna and Elwira Kamińska. This time the group attempts to confront electronic music and modern dance with Polish folk music and dance. It is a “duel of two opposites” with a pinch of salt. Both in the soundtrack and the choreography of the show two independent layers coexist. One of them illustrates the modern world filled with a cacophony of industrial sounds and subordinated to the monotony of mechanical movements. The other refers to traditional folklore saturated with emotions and historical threads that for centuries have been passed down from generation to generation in music, dance and folk song. Such a compilation of sounds and movement encourages reflection on the meaning and place of traditional folklore in the modern world.
