The creators of the timeless “Born Slippy (Nuxx)”, which became a generation anthem in 1996, after being featured in the Trainspotting film. The success of the single teleported the band from the musical underground to the very heart of the mainstream. Over the next two decades, Underground have drawn for the track’s popularity, but they never gave up their artistic ambitions. They sold millions of records, played a massive number of concerts, produced soundtracks for films directed by the likes of Anthony Minghella and Danny Boyle, and even provided music for the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games. After the commercial success of their Grammy-nominated “Barbara Barbara, we face a shining future” album, Underworld returned with a series of recordings titled “Drift”. The activities were summed up on the “Drift Series 1” album, released on November 1, 2019.
