Masters of electronic pop in Katowice! After years of silence, the Norwegian duo returned in 2022 with the biggest project of their career – ‘Profund Mysteries’. Röyksopp are currently in the form of their lives, and the only opportunity to see them live in Poland is at the Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice 2023 festival. Passes that include the Röyksopp concert are available at BUY TICKET.

Their 2001 debut album ‘Melody AM’ achieved the status of a classic album of melodic electronica. With their combination of unique sound and hit songs, the band won thousands of devoted fans all over the world. Subsequent albums have cemented Röyksopp as stars of contemporary electronica. The Norwegian duo became famous for hits such as “Here She Comes Again”, “Monument”, “What Else Is There?”, “Running To The Sea” and many other recordings that still remain on playlists today. As a consequence of Röyksopp’s success, they have been invited to remix songs by stars such as Depeche Mode, Lady Gaga, Peter Gabriel, Beck, Coldplay, The Streets, Roots Manuva, Kings of Convenience. They have collaborated with Robyn, Lykke Li and The Knife and Fever Ray, among others. The period of intense creativity closed with an album published in 2014 with the telling title ‘The Inevitable End’, which was to be the band’s last album in its traditional form.

After years of silence, Torbjørn Brundtland and Svein Berge unexpectedly returned in 2022 with the three-part album series ‘Profound Mysteries’. According to the creators, this is the biggest project of Röyksopp’s entire career. Thanks to the collaboration with a number of invited guests, the ‘Profound Mysteries’ project has a truly global dimension. The string and wind instrument parts were recorded in New York, Berlin and Paris. A number of female vocalists contribute to the tracks, including Susanne Sundfør, Allison Goldfrapp, Beki Mari, Astrid S, Karen Harding, Pixx and Jamie Irrepressible, among others. Each album in the Profound Mysteries series is accompanied by collections of short films by various artists and animated visuals by artist Jonathan Zawada. With their combination of radio hits and ambitious, dark electronica on ‘Profound Mysteries’, Röyksopp have once again wowed their fans.

Marking the group’s style are airy recordings, at once imbued with playful joy and discreet melancholy. At times, their dark epicness knocks you to the ground, at other times their charming naivety puts you in excellent humour. Whatever the mood, the Norwegians’ songs always transport the listener to another world – the musical universe of Röyksopp. Despite the passage of time, the duo’s creators do not lack imagination or ideas. The group’s recordings bring together influences as diverse as house, ambient, downtempo and synth pop. Röyksopp’s exceptional music is accompanied by a distinctive image, manifested in memorable music videos and an expansive stage design during live performances. A large part of Röyksopp’s universe will be on show at the Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice main stage in June 2023, with impressive visuals, lighting and astonishing stage design. The band will perform with a full stage line-up, which includes 5 artists.

The Röyksopp concert will certainly be the biggest event of the upcoming 18th edition of Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice. A 2-day pass for 299 PLN remains on sale, as well as a 3-day pass for 389 PLN, which includes the Röyksopp concert, and one-day tickets for the opening concert for 139 PLN. This is still only the beginning of the unveiling of the Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice 2023 programme. Soon, we will know the next artists of each of the sen, which, like every year, will be standing in the Culture Zone. Unique emotions, memorable concerts, exceptional artists and a unique location – this is the shortest recipe for the Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice festival. It is worth visiting again.
