17.11.2022

– Joep Beving
– Mykki Blanco
– Pantha Du Prince
– Talaboman
– Promotion for two-day passes lasts until the end of November

A wide spectrum of musical experiences! Joining the event’s programme are such colourful figures as a queer rap star, a magnetic pianist with a lumberjack image, a creator of multidimensional techno, and a duo of seasoned house DJs. This is still only the beginning of the announcement of the programme for next year’s edition of Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice.

There will be no shortage of the most qualitative phenomena on the global electronic music scene. The line-up opens with Pantha Du Prince. His bittersweet techno works just as well on dancefloors as it does in concert halls. In addition to the repetition of electronica, he is also inspired by My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, psychedelic rock and the elegance of classical music. Pantha Du Prince will present his mysterious sound world during the 18th edition of Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice.

The magic will also appear during the performance of a unique pianist from the Netherlands. Measuring over two metres, Joep Beving stands out not only for his height. On streaming services, he is one of the most listened to living pianists in the world. Joep Beving combines the image of an unruly bearded man with delicate melodies. The pianist’s performance during the festival will be enhanced by a unique light installation created in collaboration with renowned lighting artist Boris Acket. Technology, space, light and sound will combine to create a one-of-a-kind experience for many senses. This will be no ordinary concert.

Queer rap star Mykki Blanco will also provide a unique experience. The rapper bends the meaning of gender, and is famous for her extravagant and crazy live performances. Combining noise and experimentation with club and trap sounds, Mykki Blanco paves a subversive path in hip-hop music, a genre historically steeped in issues of misogyny, homophobia and transphobia.
The second announcement of the Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice 2023 programme closes with the duo Talaboman. This is the fruit of a collaboration between two renowned house artists, who are undoubtedly Axel Boman, co-founder of the Studio Barnhus label, and Spanish DJ and producer John Talabot, owner of Hivern Discs. Their collaboration is distinguished by a lush imagination, full of influences from African rhythms, disco and ambient. We can be sure of many colourful, danceable moments during their performance at the festival.

Two-day passes at the price of PLN 249 are still on sale. However, it is worth deciding to buy them before 1 December. This is when the next pool of passes will go on sale at a new, higher price. At the same time, this is still only the beginning of the unveiling of the programme of Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice 2023. Soon, we will know the star of the opening concert as well as the next artists of each of the stages which, like every year, will be standing in the Culture Zone. Unique emotions, memorable concerts, exceptional artists and a unique location – this is the shortest recipe for the Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice festival. It is worth visiting again.
