New artists and opening schedule Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice 2022

24.06.2022

On Thursday, 21 July 2022, the historic Walcownia Cynku in Szopienice will be filled with powerful bass, radical sounds and avant-garde sound constructions. Next to The Bug, a strong representation of the Polish underground will perform. Three-day passes, which allow you to enter the opening concert and both ticketed festival days, are running out. It is worth to hurry up with the decision to buy to be sure to participate in this unique event.

The opening of the 17th edition of Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice will be a celebration of creative chaos under the sign of industrial, noise and bass music. The main star of the evening will be The Bug, author of “Fire” – for many the most important album of 2021. He will be accompanied on stage by grime MC Flowdan. Below is the schedule for the opening party of Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice 2022:

20.00-21.30 Phatrax
21.30-23.00 TONFA
23.30-00.30 The Bug feat. Flowdan
00.30-02.00 Krenz

Apart from the guests from London, the most interesting Polish artists will perform. The Warsaw band TONFA creates music sometimes referred to as industrial hip-hop. The duo’s concerts are accompanied by scratches and uninhibited “live” percussion. Vibrant performances encourage to chat in front of the stage, and poetic lyrics to think. In combination with analogue visualisations TONFA offers the audience a total experience. It will be no different during TNMK2022. Apart from TONFA, on 21 July we will also hear two young but already experienced DJs. Krenz and Phatrax represent the young Warsaw electronic scene, for which there are no boundaries between genres. Both artists are inspired by hip-hop and techno, but above all by the music of British streets.

This is still not the end of the unveiling of the programme of the upcoming edition of the event. More intriguing artists will soon join the programme. One of the most respected music festivals in Europe confirms its status every year thanks to a fascinating artistic programme and remarkable location. It is worth visiting again.
