The latest announcement brings the best of techno, electronics, experimental music and global sounds. A colourful constellation of intriguing artists from many parts of the world joins the programme of the jubilee, 20th edition of Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice. Festival passes are available at https://festiwalnowamuzyka.pl/.

The most recognisable artist on the list is Luke Slater, who will appear at the festival with the Planetary Assault Systems project. He is one of the key artists on the global techno scene, impressing for years with his unique musical vision. Since his debut in 1993, P.A.S. has become synonymous with hypnotic, soulful and funky techno, blurring the lines between psychedelia and club music. Luke Slater still has a lot of intriguing music to offer and there will certainly be no shortage of it during the 20th edition of Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice.

The British techno sound will also be represented by Ø [Phase], who has been on the scene since the late 90s. Initially working as a sound engineer, he produced his own raw tracks after hours. Ø [Phase] is a technical master and has maintained his position at the forefront of techno innovation. A lighter version of dance music will be presented by RSS Disco – this Hamburg-based trio combines synth disco, acid-dripping house and psychedelic techno. RSS Disco has become synonymous with euphoric experiences, which we will also witness at TNMK2025.

DJ Britta Arnold, co-founder of Bar25 and Kater Blau resident, will be coming straight from Berlin. When you hear hypnotic rhythms with a touch of acid, it is probably the sound coming from the console of her musical spaceship. This elegant, electric blonde regularly breaks the mold and serves up the hottest sets – and June at Strefa Kultury will be no different.

Experimental journeys into the depths of sound will be provided by Ellen Arkbro, a Swedish composer, instrumentalist and artist. She focuses on extracting the features of harmonic sound that show listening as an active process of creative participation in music, inviting the audience to a gradual transformation into the sound itself. In Katowice, she will play the organ. Musical journeys into the unknown will also be provided by TAIGA, a duo of multi-instrumentalists from Inner Mongolia and the Uyghur Autonomous Region of Xinjiang. Since 2017, they have regularly performed live at many festivals around the world, such as Strawberry Fest and South by Southwest (SXSW). They combine throat singing technique and unique instruments, such as a violin built in the shape of a horse’s head or a Tuvan lute doshpuluur, adding electronic influences to them. Each composition is a gateway to their authentic world and vision of life. Since moving to Chengdu in 2019, TAIGA has evolved from a folk band into a club project, developing a large and diverse fan base. Their performance could prove to be one of the most interesting concerts at this year’s edition of TNMK.

This announcement is closed by Yehezkel Raz, an architect of musical minimalism from Israel. In his music, intimate piano whispers intertwine with rich, multi-layered soundscapes, creating a delicate balance of silence and resonance. His live performances are immersive journeys into unknown lands. With millions of monthly listeners and recent releases that have catapulted him to the forefront of his musical niche, Yehezkel is gaining huge international recognition. He is preparing to release new music in 2025 and embark on a worldwide tour, with the Polish stop being Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice.

And the announcements are still not over. Soon, more secrets of TNMK 2025 will be revealed. It is worth taking care of the ticket today!

The festival is sponsored by Tauron Polska Energia. Co-hosted by the City of Katowice.
