Only 2 weeks left until the Opening Concert of the 19th edition of Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice! As every year, the festival is full of attractions and new artists expand the programme to 48 projects. Thus, we already know all the performers who will present themselves between 20 and 23 June in Katowice. Passes and tickets for the festival are still available!
From alternative pop to experimental electronica and from heavy techno to sophisticated jazz – this is the shortest way to sum up this year’s programme of the Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice festival. A month before the start, it is already clear that this will be one of the most musically diverse events of the festival summer. Here is the full schedule:

The four-day music festival will begin on Thursday 20 June with the Opening Concert at the Katowice Miasto Ogrodów headquarters, followed by two days full of music in the Culture Zone. There, inside the ICC, will be the City of Music Stage, where the biggest stars will perform.

The Zone of Culture will also host the T-Mobile Electronic Beats Stage, where the stars of the world’s clubs will be heard. It is this stage that will play the longest during Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice.

The final stage is the Secret Stage, a place where a wide spectrum of club sounds will be heard during the festival – from dark disco to minimal and tech house to dubstep. Musical activities will also take place in the festival clubs, which will traditionally be Sztauwajery and JAZBAR Muchowiec.

At the same time as the schedule is announced, the festival programme grows. The latest artist announcement opens with the A_GIM/KASAI project. Agim Djeljilji , one of the most experienced electronic music producers in Poland, has joined forces with Kasia Piszek, an intriguing singer, pianist, composer, songwriter and producer. The result is the experimental album ‘Ortodroma’, which will be heard live in June.
A totally different atmosphere will be offered by Hubert – he creates an alternative rap faction, based on sophisticated samples and multidimensional sounds, evoking inspiration from artists such as J.Cole, Mac Miller, Mac DeMarco or Pink Floyd. Hubert. takes the listener on a psychedelic trip, during which he ponders the paradoxes of life, sings about transience, deals with mosquitoes and dances at late-night raves – and it will be the same at Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice. Hubert will be heard in the NOSPR Amphitheatre.
This year’s edition of the festival will be crowned by FAJRANT, a Sunday dance marathon at JAZBAR Muchowiec. The headliner will be the head of the cult record label Kompakt, namely Michael Mayer. The artist is world-famous for his diverse and intense sets that draw you in for hours. He is one of the best DJs in the world and it is his performance that will close the 19th edition of Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice.
