At the core of Alexander Berg’s work is patient consistency. The Swedish producer’s catalogue ranges from dreamy, melancholic melodies to hypnotic percussion tracks, always maintaining quality and uniqueness. His debut album Irrbloss and EPs for Aniara Recordings, Bossmusik or Northern Electronics are characterised by a dizzying range of sounds. Although Dorisburg changes stylistic paths with ease, all his tracks are anchored by a lush atmosphere that adds an otherworldly magic to even his heaviest beats. A unique atmosphere also fills his masterful live performances. This is when we hear the result of countless hours in the studio, tracks that have yet to be released or simply won’t be released, as well as faithful versions of classics from his earlier catalogues. His live performances also leave room for improvisation, often based on remixed versions of well-known songs and sampling on the fly. During each live performance, Dorisburg demonstrates what he has learnt on his journey, wielding his equipment proficiently.
