The London-based musician, DJ and producer is undoubtedly one of the most respected and influential electronic artists of his generation. He is synonymous with the uncompromising quality of the British scene. He first rose to fame in 2009. His fruitful career includes a series of landmark releases such as “Ellipsis,” “GR Etiquette,” “Hyph Mngo,” “Big Room Tech House DJ Tool-TIP!” and “red velve7,” collaborations with artists such as Mansur Brown and Overmono, running his own label Hinge Finger, a residency on BBC Radio 1 and playlist selections for the Grand Theft Auto radio station.
It’s also live performances that span the most underground clubs as well as the main stages of major festivals around the world. His debut album, titled “still slipping,” won widespread acclaim, the album of the year award at the 2021 DJ Mag Awards, and made it to annual summaries in leading music media. Joy Orbison has followed suit, releasing a series of well-received singles in recent years, such as “Pinky Ring” and “Blind Date” (in collaboration with Overmono). The heavily danceable course continues with his latest release, “Flight FM.”
