Singer, producer and DJ from London. Representative of the Ninja Tune label. She combines the sounds of dream pop, post punk and electronic music. She debuted under the pseudonym Throwing Shade, but was most acclaimed for her 2017 self-titled debut album ‘Weighing of the Heart’. On it, the artist combined electronica with guitar sounds and shoegaze-style vocals. Nabihah’s second album was released in 2022. “Dreamer” is an intimate journey through snapshots and memories of life, combined with an exploration of the identity and musical traditions of cultures without borders. Nabihah has toured all over the world, both as a singer and DJ. She has performed at the Tate Modern, among others. Tate Britain, Barbican, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, K11 Art Institute in Shanghai and MoMA PS1 in New York. As well as working on her own music, Nabihah hosts an original radio show on NTS radio and in the past has also broadcast on the BBC.
