Three exceptional projects strengthen the programme of the 17th edition of the festival. Jazz from The Cinematic Orchestra, full of subtlety and emotion, club power from Skream and new pop from Tymek and Urbanski guarantee a huge musical experience. There are only 5 weeks left until the start of the festival, and this is still not the end of unveiling the programme of the upcoming edition of TNMK.
A definite number one in this announcement is The Cinematic Orchestra. In 2019, the group broke 12 years of silence by returning with an album. “To Believe”. With this, Jason Swinscoe and his crew proved that they are still one of the most respected and influential British bands of the last two decades and continue to inspire with their unique combination of jazz, film music and electronica. The Cinematic Orchestra creates a unique atmosphere during their live shows and we can expect a similar performance during the 17th edition of Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice.
A high-energy dance floor experience will be provided by Skream and his dj set. At the beginning of the 21st century, the Londoner earned a permanent place in music history as a pioneer of dubstep. However, instead of resting on his laurels, he turned his attention to the dance sounds of disco, house and techno. In this role, too, he has enjoyed worldwide success, remaining one of electronic music’s most respected DJs. Skream’s powerful set will be the highlight of Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice 2022.
The Polish scene is represented by the special Tymek/Urbanski project. The creator of the megahit “Język ciała” joined forces with the versatile producer to create the album “Odrodzenie”. The album, which was released this spring, is, as the artists themselves say, “a story about death understood as birth”. Apart from songs from the new album, we will also hear Tymek’s greatest hits at the festival, with which he once beat Taco Hemingway’s position on Spotify. One of the most popular artists of the young generation could not be missing from Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice Festival.
This is still not the end of the unveiling of the programme of the upcoming edition of the event. Other intriguing artists will soon be added to the programme. One of the most appreciated music festivals in Europe confirms its status every year thanks to a fascinating artistic program and an original location. It is worth visiting again.
Three-day passes, including the opening concert, as well as two-day passes and one-day tickets are still on sale. They can still be purchased online at the festival website and on Going, eBilet and Ticketmaster. It is worth making a decision to buy now, because on 1 June the prices of passes and tickets will change. For more information about next year’s Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice visit the festival website.
