The festival weekend will also be full of musical sensations at JAZBAR Muchowiec! They will be provided by an array of DJs, who will perform during Saturday’s SZYCHTA and Sunday’s FAJRANT. The highlight will be a performance by Danish artist Courtesy. JAZBAR Muchowiec will once again become the official festival club. Entry to Saturday’s event is free, on Sunday entry is free for those with festival wristbands, the rest will pay 20 PLN. Passes can be purchased at www.festiwalnowamuzyka.pl!
During the festival, fascinating sounds will flow not only through the Culture Zone, but also in the atmospheric space of JAZBAR Muchowiec. This is one of the favourite venues of Katowice’s inhabitants during the summer season. The venue, located near the Dolina Trzech Stawów, will once again become the official festival club of Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice.
On Saturday, 10 June, SZYCHTA will take place there, hosted by DJs from Poland and Ukraine. The stage is curated by Avtomat from the collective Ciężki Brokat. It is an initiative that has been providing a space for LGBT+ and women to play and perform for over 5 years and focuses on building a safer club experience. Alongside those representing Warsaw’s queer scene, such as Aldona Relax, Pupper DJ and themsel in distress, Ukrainian DJ Anna Borsuk and the Gdansk duo Jazxing will also perform. This means that we will hear an impressive range of sounds that day, from atmospheric dark disco, chug and downtempo, to EBM, breakbeat, electro, hardcore and gabba.
As every year, the festival will culminate with a free FAJRANT. The star of Sunday’s event at JAZBAR Muchowiec will be Danish DJ Courtesy, accompanied by an array of names from the Polish club scene. We will hear sets from DJs such as Fresh, Glasse, Mr Lex and Ricardo. This means nothing less than an hours-long dance marathon to the best in techno, house and electro, all in the welcoming space of JAZBAR.
JAZBAR Muchowiec made its debut in spring 2021, an open-air jazz club in a surprising arrangement and setting emanating with greenery. It is the second open-air venue launched by More Music Agency, the organiser of the Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice festival. Like the already iconic Staggers, it stands in the most beautiful part of Katowice, i.e. in the area around Dolina Trzech Stawów.
FAJRANT at JAZBAR will bring the 18th edition of the Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice festival to a close in unforgettable style. Entry to both events will be free for festival wristband holders. A 2-day pass for 379 PLN and a 3-day pass for 469 PLN are still on sale.
