And it was like this...

Autechre. Flying Lotus. Bonobos. FeverRay. Amon Tobin.

They all played in Poland for the first time here. Since 2006, Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice has been spotting artists before they hit the mainstream – and inviting them to one of the most iconic festival locations in Europe.

It all started with a group of friends from the Hipnoza club.

The first edition. The disused Wilson mine shaft. DJ Krush, Swayzak, and Cristian Vogel on stage. The recipe proved simple. Sounds bordering on jazz, electronica, and dance rhythms. Consistently ignoring mainstream playlists. An audience that was exactly what they were looking for.

A festival that combines an industrial past with futuristic sound.

Stages set between the mine halls, the NOSPR concert hall, and the basement of the Silesian Museum. Avant-garde electronics resonate off the brick walls and steel structures.

This combination defines Katowice – a city that has transformed its industrial history into cultural energy.
