World-famous creators of experimental music and the most intriguing stars of the Polish alternative join the festival programme! Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice once again dazzles with an abundance of musical themes, inviting representatives of electronic and experimental music as well as hip-hop, jazz and pop. And thus the lineup of the 14th edition expands to 61 artists. IT’S THE LAST DAY OF 2-DAY AND 3-DAY TICKETS SALES AT A LOWER PRICE!

This year’s festival programme regularly expands with new proposals. Every one of the nine artists we’ve just announced presents a completely different but equally captivating approach to music. Amnesia Scanner are a duo representing avant-garde, post-genre electronic music, famous for deformed textures, noisy dissonances and heavy bass.

Experimental themes also dominate the work of another one of the invited artists, Andrea Belfi. He combines a modest set of drums with equally small arsenal of electronic devices. The Italian drummer is tirelessly exploring and improving acoustic and electronic tones, reaching a master synthesis of two different worlds of sounds.

The fans of the Polish alternative will surely be glad to see live performances of some native stars. The Smolik / Kev Fox project is a skilful combination of melancholic melodies and charismatic vocals that instantly won the hearts of audiences and critics. Their debut album “Smolik / Kev Fox” wet platinum and received two Fryderyk awards in the electronic and alternative categories.

Fisz Emade Tworzywo will present songs from their latest album, “Radar”, which was released this year. Bartek and Piotr Waglewski have been working together as a band since 2001, and over that time they’ve released 11 eclectic albums. The new one, the fragments of which we’ll surely hear in Katowice, was a reason for the gentlemen to dive into the musical melting pot of the ‘80s, drawing inspiration from disco and different types of rock.

Last winter marked the comeback of Envee, who returned with a new album “Time&Light”. He’s an instrumentalist, DJ and very prolific producer responsible for the success of albums by Fisz, Natalia “Natu” Przybysz and Ania Szarmach, as well as numerous remixes and music for theatre shows, films, radio and TV commercials. During his Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice performance, Envee will undoubtedly reveal many different musical faces.

Resina is a composer and cellist famous for her collaborations with a long list of diverse artists: from Maciej Cieślak, through Hubert Zemler, to Zamilska. But above all, she’s been following her own artistic path, and will present the results of the journey during the 14th edition of the festival.

Król is one of the most renowned musicians and songwriters of the young generation. He’s been diligently paving his way from the independent world to major festival stages and influential music publications for years. The 14th Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice will also deliver a proper dose of high-quality hip-hop. Lazy flow, brilliant lyrics and atypical topics make for one of the most interesting recent hip-hop debuts, as Kamil Pivot has the audacity to rap about diapers, household saving or optimal weather for family walks. At the same time, Norway’s Askjell will present futuristic pop full of rich sensitivity and deep spaces.

1-day, 2-day and 3-day tickets are still available for sale. More information on the Festival’s website. This is not the end of unveiling the programme of Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice 2019!
